You Had a Better Day than I Did
Unless you were in surgery or labor
More of the never-ending saga of my old teeth.
When last we visited the dental story, I was put on extra-strength antibiotics to see if that would help my aching tooth, and we were waiting for my partial plate to come in to fill the gap in my smile.
Well, the day did not start well. I’d been warned by several others (including the dentist) that those strong antibiotics could be tough on stomachs. Two of my relatives had said they couldn’t take them because they just wouldn’t stay down. I was proud of my strong stomach. I took the last pill today.
But not before my stomach contents emptied, and then the rest of my digestive tract followed suit. There went my plans to go to my aqua aerobics class. My plans changed to staying close to the bathroom until my dentist appointment at 3 and then hope for the best.
Things had quieted down by the time I left for the appointment, groggily looking forward to having my smile back by the time the appointment was over.
So much for that plan. The dental assistant came out with the partial and put it in my mouth. I was expecting it to just cover the two missing teeth, which are on the upper right side of my mouth.
