There's a five and a half year difference between my younger sister and me, and we've never been really close. We talk several times a week, but never close with "I love you," as my two cousins and I always do. She is less judgmental than she was before she lost her eyesight, but there's still a jab in there once in a while. Being related does not guarantee closeness. I'm glad you and your sister cleared the air between you.
