One of the saddest changes in education these days, in my opinion, is the elimination of cursive writing. It doesn't take that long to learn, but it enables students to read history, most of which was hand written. These kids will not be able to read Grandpa's letters to Grandma during the war or the names in the family Bible or Great-Aunt Millie's message on her birthday card. Handwriting means writing, not printing. You point that out here with your reference to the pen used and the paper. Thank you.
