Just about this time last year, my half-sister got in touch with a member of our family through some DNA study. She was thrilled to have found us, and we were all excited to get to know her. I wrote about it on Medium and sent her the link. She told me her mother was not pleased and is a very private person. She has not gotten in touch with us since, and I blame myself. But there were no names given, no real personal information in it; one questionable line I deleted. I'm sorry it upset her mother, but it was a useful piece. It's still there.
