Is the Government Responsible for the Economy?

Or do your decisions have some effect on your bank account?

I listen to people complain about how awful this administration is, and when asked in what way, they talk about the horrible economy — how expensive everything is, how much gas costs, how much better things were during the last administration.

Is the government responsible for how much things cost, or are you just plain spending more than you can afford to?

I’ve seen Trump supporters complain about how little money they have, as they stand there decked out in Trump paraphernalia from head to toe. How much have they spent on supporting the orange “billionaire”?

Gas costing you too much each week? What do you drive? Do you have a small, economy car, or did you have to buy a gas-guzzling SUV for one baby? My parents always had one small car, and we three kids fit fine in the back seat, even if we did squabble occasionally. We would have done that anyway.

Do you live in a neighborhood you can afford, or did you choose to buy a house in the “best” area? I live 40 minutes away from my son and daughter-in-law, not because I wanted to be 40 minutes away but because it was the closest I could buy a house I could afford. Was it a new house? No. It’s 25 years old, but that’s still the newest house I’ve ever lived…
