I was an adjunct (part time) English professor at a couple of local community colleges for most of the 34 years I taught, and I never intended to retire, just cut back on the number of classes I took each semester. Unfortunately, I moved to an area that didn't want my education or experience, because they'd have to pay me more. I've been forcibly retired now for almost 4 years, and I still miss the classroom, but at 71, I wouldn't go back. Enjoy those last few months!
