I Need to Vent
I usually try to keep these pages light — things I can write about and laugh. Hopefully they make other people laugh, too. But at this time, I need to vent. I need to write how I feel, regardless of others’ opinions. I read somewhere that the count of idiots in this country has finally been made: the 73,000,000 people who voted for the former president — and by the way, he IS the former president. CPAC was held last weekend, and all weekend long, the “big lie” was repeated. Trump won the election. The election was stolen from Trump. The election was rigged. There was mass voting fraud. And there are Jewish lasers in space starting forest fires in California. Come on. If there were Jewish lasers in space, I don’t think they would be wasted on starting forest fires. Lasers are extremely accurate. I think there would be people who would be very afraid of being zapped out of nowhere. I’d make fast friends with all my Jewish acquaintances. Quickly.
I do not understand Republicans. I voted for a few Republican presidential candidates when I was first voting. Hell, I voted for Richard Nixon the second time he ran; it was my first election. When he resigned prior to being impeached, I figured maybe I wasn’t so good at voting, so I sat out the next election. I would have voted for Ford; Carter won. My point was made.
My then husband talked me into voting for Ronald Reagan in 1980. Reagan was a former union president, so my strong pro-union husband thought Reagan would be pro-union. 90 days into office, Reagan busted the Air Traffic Controllers union. Years later…
