I have a grandson (or had) who chose to stay with his father and has cut off all contact with any of his mother's family. None of us have any idea where he is or what he's doing. He has broken his mother's heart, which breaks mine. And I hate to say this, but it's true: I loved him because he was my grandson, but I never liked him (or his father.) He's 20 years old, so his decisions are his own.
