I graded essays and research papers for 34 years, but I don't think I could be an editor. The editing I've gotten on my writing here has seemed trivial to me, yet I've seen articles with obvious errors that needed correcting, because they were distracting. I guess my direction would be more proofreading and less trying to change someone's writing.
