I completely agree with you, although I am not a lawyer, either. I do, as you do, have common sense, however. My greatest fear is that all of this will be moot if we can't get protection for voting rights. If the mid-terms are turned around by the Repub states' new laws, the investigations and revealing of fact will be stopped, and our democracy will end, not with a bang but with a whimper. The whimper will be mine as I try to get Canada to take me, and I don't WANT to go back to the cold!
