Famine or Feast

For months, we went nowhere and saw no one. We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas alone, away from family. From last October to when the weather started to warm up and everyone in the family had been vaccinated, our days were empty. It was just the two of us, and the main excitement of each day was the delivery of the mail, not so much because of what might be in it, but because all three dogs barked their fool heads off and made our heads ache.
