All I Need Is Some Good News

I’m feeling down, depressed, frustrated, and broke. The broke part isn’t a feeling; it’s a fact. It is causing difficulties.

My West Highland terrier needs grooming badly. He looks like a combination of sheep dog and poodle. He’s also not exactly white. To be truthful, he’s all dog, so he rarely is white, but he’d look better groomed.

We got a garage door opener for Christmas. I broke it a couple of weeks ago. I have a home warranty, but there’s an $85 service call fee.

The electricity is out in the master bedroom. Only the master bedroom. I have no idea why. I wouldn’t mind, but that’s the ceiling fan, my alarm clock, and my husband’s nightstand lamp. You would think it’s a blown fuse or popped circuit breaker, but we have not been able to solve the problem on our own. That would be another $85 service call fee.

My husband is missing a few front teeth on the bottom. The dentist wants $800 to replace them. The insurance won’t pay for it. I’ve looked under the sofa cushions, but I haven’t found $800. I didn’t even find change, only dog food pellets.

My daughter wants to open a miniature golf course. There is nothing like it in her whole county, so it would be wonderful for the community. She needs $150,000. I would love to help her. Her sofa cushions turned up nothing, either.

My family reunion is July 17th, 12 hours away. My husband and I wanted to make a real vacation out of the trip by stopping at Hershey Park for a day on the way…
