What makes a person a dictator?

A dictator is an individual who forms a government where they make decisions without effective constitutional limitations. The dictator has absolute power. They are not held accountable for their actions and are free to do as they please, even limiting citizens’ freedom and rights.

There is a term “benevolent dictator,” and there have been a handful of them in history.

Can you, in your wildest dreams, imagine connecting the word “benevolent” with Donald J. Trump? It’s true: he had a charity once. It got shut down because it took in money and kept it. It never helped anyone except Trumps.

  • rump says he only wants to be dictator for “a day.” Just the first day. I think even in one day, he could do a lot of harm, but do you really think he would give up that power once he had it?

How many dictators have been kind, compassionate, benevolent leaders dedicated to making the lives of their people better, more comfortable, easier? Has *rump promised that? I have heard him promise to punish his opponents and anyone else who has ever hurt his feelings. He told his followers, “I am your retribution.” That sounds kind.

“You will know my people by their love,” said Jesus, who is supposed to be the leader…
